FAQ & full product guide

Everything Blazie Security does — security systems, moderation, tickets, XP, music, feeds — explained in plain language with flows for what happens after the bot acts. Self-hosted · V5.5 · Coded by Big Blazie.

What is Blazie Security?

Blazie Security is an all-in-one Discord moderation and security bot designed for communities that need real raid/nuke protection — not just welcome messages and a level card.

Included Anti-Nuke · Anti-Raid · Full AutoMod · Tickets + transcripts · Cases/evidence · Strikes · XP & ranks · Reaction roles · Music · World news / sports / Steam game feeds · Mod logs · Interactive /setup

It is self-hosted (you run the bot process). Configuration is per-server and stored in JSON files on the bot machine. A web control panel UI exists; Discord login + API wiring can be connected later.

Quick start (first 5 minutes)

  1. Invite the bot with Administrator (or the permission set below).
  2. In your server, run /setup and complete the wizard (or at minimum set a log channel).
  3. Run /guide for the checklist. Optional: /secpreset strict for maximum hardening.
  4. Confirm with /antinuke status and /antiraid status.
  5. Optional: post a ticket panel, reaction-role panel, and track games with /trackgame.

What happens when the bot joins

1. Bot joinsInvited to server
2. OnboardingDM to inviter + note in system channel
3. Defaults liveAnti-Nuke, Anti-Raid, AutoMod ON
4. You run /setupChannels + features configured

You do not need to turn security on manually. Hardened defaults apply immediately. /setup is for channels, XP, tickets, media, and reaction roles — not for “enabling” basic protection.

The /setup wizard

/setup is an interactive, multi-step panel (buttons + channel/role selects). Only the admin who ran it can click the controls.

StepWhat you configure
ChannelsLog (required), case, welcome, goodbye
XPXP channel, gain pings, level-up pings, role rewards, custom level names
GamingGame updates category, fallback game-news channel
TicketsTicket category, staff role, transcript log channel
MediaNews, sports, music channels + DJ role
Reaction rolesPanel channel for self-roles

Manual alternatives: /setlogchannel, /setcasechannel, /setwelcomechannel, /setgoodbyechannel, then /showconfig to verify.

Tip Put staff-only channels (#mod-logs, #case-files, #ticket-logs) in a private category visible only to staff roles. Community channels (#roles, #xp-rewards, #news) can stay public.

Permissions the bot needs

For full protection and features, the bot should be high in the role list and have:

  • Administrator (simplest), or carefully grant:
  • Manage Channels, Manage Roles, Manage Messages, Kick, Ban, Moderate Members (timeout)
  • View Audit Log (who invited bot, nuke actor detection)
  • Manage Nicknames (anti-hoist), Manage Webhooks (anti-nuke)
  • Connect / Speak (music), Attach Files / Embed Links (logs & transcripts)

Important Anti-Nuke cannot strip or quarantine roles that are above the bot’s highest role. Keep Blazie Security’s role near the top, under only your true owner/admin roles.

Anti-Nuke

Anti-Nuke watches for mass destructive actions in a short time window: channel delete/create, role delete/create/update, bans, kicks, webhooks, emoji wipes, and rapid bot adds.

What happens when it trips

Burst of actionse.g. 2+ channel deletes in 10s

Kick limit4 / 10sMass kick protection
Webhook limit2 / 10sWebhook spam / hijack
ActionquarantineAlso supports ban, strip, lockdown
Also lockdownYesLocks channels when triggered

Commands

  • /secpreset — one-click strict / balanced / relaxed security profile
  • /antinuke status — view thresholds and live lockdown/raid state
  • /antinuke enable / disable
  • /antinuke set-action — quarantine | ban | strip | lockdown
  • /antinuke set-limit — change a threshold key
  • /antinuke whitelist-add / whitelist-remove — trusted users/roles
  • /antinuke unlock — unlock channels + clear related lockdown state

Guild owner is always immune. Whitelist additional trusted admins so legitimate bulk work (server redesigns) does not quarantine your staff.

Anti-Raid

Anti-Raid focuses on join floods and suspicious new accounts: join rate windows, minimum account age, default-avatar pressure, a heat score, optional verification gate, and automatic raid mode with lockdown.

What happens during a raid

Actionquarantine (also kick / ban / lockdown_role)
Lockdown on triggerYes · 600 seconds
Heat systemOn · threshold 80
Verification gateOff by default (enable if you want a gate role)

Commands

  • /antiraid status
  • /antiraid enable / disable
  • /antiraid set — keys like join_threshold, account_age_hours, heat_threshold, etc.
  • /antiraid force-raid-mode / clear-raid-mode

AutoMod

AutoMod scans messages (and nicknames) and can delete, timeout, mute, warn/strike, kick, or ban. Admins and privileged staff are ignored when “ignore admins” is on.

Rules covered

Spam & content

  • Message rate spam
  • Duplicate messages
  • Caps spam
  • Emoji / sticker spam
  • Zalgo / combining marks
  • Bad-word list

Links & mentions

  • Discord invites

Optional strikesEscalate at 2 / 3
Log embed#mod-logs

Configure with /automod, word lists with /automodwords (or equivalent), domains with /automoddomains. Default action is typically delete; escalate via strikes when enabled.

Moderation & strikes

Staff-facing tools for day-to-day discipline, on top of automated systems.

  • /ban /kick /softban /mute /tempmute /tempban
  • /warn /strikes — progressive discipline
  • /lock /clear — channel control
  • Notes / history for staff context

Strike escalation (typical)

Warn / AutoModStrike recorded
~2 strikesTimeout
~3 strikesBan (when escalation on)

Exact thresholds depend on your AutoMod / strike settings. Mute uses a managed Muted role when timeouts are unavailable.

Cases & evidence

The case system stores evidence and notes tied to case IDs so staff can document raids, scams, or appeals. Point a case channel (e.g. #case-files) in /setup or /setcasechannel.

Staff opens caseEvidence uploaded
StoredCase ID + notes
LoggedVisible in case channel
HistoryReusable for appeals

Tickets

Users open private support threads/channels via a panel button. Staff get access through a staff role. On close, a transcript is saved (disk + optional log channel).

Lifecycle

User clicks panelStates a reason

CloseTranscript generated
Log#ticket-logs + file
  • /ticket setup — category, staff role, log channel
  • /ticket panel — post the open button
  • /ticket open · /ticket close · /ticket add · /ticket remove

Discord cannot nest categories. Live ticket channels live under 🎫 Tickets; transcripts can live under a private staff category as #ticket-logs.

XP & levels

Members earn XP from messages, images, reactions, and voice. Level-ups can ping, grant rank roles, and post in an XP channel. Level names can be customized.

  • /rank — your card/stats
  • /leaderboard · /weekly
  • Toggles in /setup (XP step): gain pings, level-up pings, role rewards
ActivityChat / voice / react
XP grantedPer-guild balance
Level upOptional role + ping

Reaction roles

Self-assign roles from a panel message. Supports bot-created roles, presets, and unique mode. Set the panel channel in /setup, then manage with the /reactrole command group.

  • /reactrole add — bind emoji → role
  • /reactrole panel — post or refresh the panel
  • /reactrole remove / list variants as implemented in your build

Music

Playback via yt-dlp + FFmpeg. Optional music channel lock and DJ role so only trusted users control the queue.

  • /music play · queue · skip · stop · volume · loop (group commands)
  • Restrict channel / DJ role in /setup media step

The host machine must have FFmpeg available and network access for media extraction. Without them, music commands will fail.

News, sports & game feeds

World news & sports

/news and /sports pull RSS headlines. If you set dedicated channels in setup, those commands only work there (keeps general chat clean).

Steam / game tracking

/trackgame follows a Steam App ID, creates a dedicated channel under your Game Updates category, and auto-posts official Steam news. Category RSS feeds can be tracked similarly.

/trackgameApp ID + name
Channel createdUnder game category
Feed tickBot checks Steam/RSS
New postsEmbeds in that channel
  • /trackedgames — list tracked games + channels
  • /untrackgame — stop tracking (optional delete channel)
  • /syncgames — recreate missing game/news/sports channels if they were deleted
  • /setgamecategory · /setgamechannel · /setgamefeedinterval

On startup and on each feed cycle, the bot checks that tracked game channels still exist. If a channel was deleted, it is recreated under the configured category and the stored ID is updated.

Logging

Mod actions, AutoMod hits, joins/leaves (audit-style data), voice events, and security triggers can post to your log channel. Keep it private to staff.

  • Set with /setup or /setlogchannel
  • Join/leave and voice logging run alongside moderation embeds

Run /sync after updates if new slash commands do not appear. Restart Discord (Ctrl+R) if the client caches old commands.

Website control panel

The control panel is a full UI mock for dashboard, bot appearance (name, avatar, banner), channels, AutoMod, anti-raid/nuke, tickets, music, feeds, and logging.

Current status UI only until Discord OAuth + bot API are connected. The bot and website run on separate servers at the same host; a small authenticated API on the bot machine will bridge config read/write.

Hardened defaults (summary)

New servers inherit security-first defaults. Existing custom configs are not overwritten automatically.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to try
Slash commands missing Run /sync, wait 1–2 minutes, restart Discord. Ensure the bot is online.
Anti-Nuke didn’t stop a staff member They may be owner/whitelisted, or their role is above the bot. Raise bot role; check whitelist.
Game channels disappeared Run /syncgames. Bot also recreates on startup and feed ticks if still tracked.
Music fails Install/update FFmpeg and yt-dlp on the bot host; check voice permissions.
Tickets won’t open Ensure ticket category exists (/ticket setup), bot can Manage Channels, staff role set.
Logs not posting Set log channel with /setup or /setlogchannel; bot needs Send Messages + Embed Links.

Support server and invite links live on the homepage. For a short in-Discord checklist, run /guide.
